I'll keep it short, sweet and to the point...
Today's hunt was a total success. As my buddy Brock would say, "We had all the fun and none of the mess."
Had a young buck grunt so close we both felt it. He walked behind us unaware we were even there. Then a button buck came through, following in his steps. No shot opportunity or I would've. Button bucks are delicious. Two does were making their way right into our laps when they busted me moving. Dang bladder. Lol. We had a 5 minute stare down at 30 yards, but in the end they decided to alter their course. There was tension on the string but she never stood broadside for me to let an arrow fly... all the fun, and none of the mess.
This pano is from our ground fort looking out. We take ourselves very serious.

Reminds me of my first years of hunting with my dad. A good deadfall to sit up against was how I learned to hunt. Great pics!
