I had a dream. My daughter was driving the car. Not Ohio. I was passenger seat scouting the terrain. I was spotting 150-180" bucks bedded all over the place. Either deer season is close or I fell asleep while looking at deer porn again.

I still say I'll be ready by mid to late October. Did you snort wheeze at the mail man yet Cotty? If so, then it's about to get real!

I know what you mean, I actually had a hard time falling asleep last night thinking of the few things I need to button up before Saturday and playing out opening day in my head. It’s getting real now

Id like to say I'm excited for this year, but I've hardly had time to think about it. On top of that, I don't have a deer on camera I'd like to shoot.

Hope you get a crack at a dandy opening weekend Mike!

I'm happy to be going hunting again, but my excitement level just does not rise much this time of year. I'm more in observation mode in early season for obvious reasons, fine tuning my ambushes, enjoying the mild weather and pacing myself to stay energized and focused for when things really heat up a month from now.

Sounds like the struggle you’ve found with retirement.

Me, I was more excited a month ago. More serious about it now. The more emotion I try and take out of it, the better off I am. Locking in, so to speak.

I’ll start shortly after you harvest that Boone and Crockett you got tied up.... [emoji23]
[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] I've had so many trail camera problems this year that I don't even have a hard horned pic of a buck I want to kill
