We are going Saturday. Better half ordered his bow from the Fin on Saturday. :smiley_clap: Matthews instead of Hoyt :smiley_depressive: but that's another story for another day. Just happy that he decided to join the sons and me in our hunting ventures. Looking for lots of necessary "stuff" to get him up to speed. I've already presented him with a custom wrist sling (thank you, Fluteman).

It is up in the air for me now. Might be a Saturday afternoon deal, crash somewhere, and hit it Sunday morning as well. Hate to make the drive twice, but hate the opportunity to meet some new faces. Feel like I know Ric, but haven't shook his hand yet. I am going to be disappointed if it is like shaking a cold, dead fish's hand. :smiley_crocodile:

Real mature JD!
For what it's worth, I'll be there tomorrow from around noon till 3 or 4. If you see me, and recognize me, hit me in the dick and say hi. If you care to meet up 740-503-6280. If my wife's cousin were not in town from Germany Huck, you could crash in my man cave.

I work a 24 hour shift at the firehouse Sunday or I would make a grand appearance Sunday and buy the first round. Have fun TOO members

Just got back from the expo. I had a great time. Art Helin's seminar on holding big bucks on your property was really good. I recommend anyone that goes to sit in on that one. Wasn't many bucks there yet but Rex said they usually show up on Sunday. Have fun to everyone that goes.

Should be heading that way early tomorrow morning. Not sure if the wife will make the trip, but I would like to see if I can find a good deal on a scope for the muzzy and check out the new Muddy stands and Elite bows.

I was there. Didn't see themedic. Saw Mrex but he was busy and I don't think he saw me. Didn't recognize anyone else other than vendors we talk to annually.

Overall impression? Much of the same. More wannabe outfitters and TV celebs than you could shake a stick at. (That is not a dig at Medic, just a fact.) Too many people for my liking. Overpriced food. You know, just the usual. Deals? I did buy Garrett a Tree Spider harness for a fair price. The Tony Lapratt seminar was excellent. Didn't see Byron Ferguson, but his show is always packed and always great. Didn't spend a tremendous amount of time looking at deer heads, but I did marvel at some of them. There are some mighty impressive deer there. Wish I was more knowledgeable in turkey calls. I could probably have gotten some decent deals on calls, but just don't want to spend money if I don't know what I am getting.

Those tree spider harnesses look pretty nice Phil! Definitely a wise investment for your son's future! Pound it into his head now how important a harness is. You don't want him in a tree without one! I know I'm glad my dad pounded safety in mg head when I was younger. I have had TOO many close calls with tree stands and climbing sticks in the past to not use one. I wouldn't be here today had I not wore a harness all these years.

Just about snagged a second one for myself on the way out the door Flutey. Probably should have. $75 plus tax was pretty dang fair in my opinion. Then again, if he ever had a fall it wouldn't matter if it cost me thousands. I am cheap, but keeping your kids safe and watching them grow up is priceless.

I wanted to sit in on the LaPratt seminar but just didn't feel like sitting through another one. What topics did he cover?
