Got out this morning for a little bit. Treed 4 times. Saw 1, but he got away.

Not sure how many trees we had, but it was a bunch. Alot were den trees and the shooter had a couple get away. Colton did manage to get his limit though. It was a nice day to be out and the squirrels were moving good.

Do they hunt at night? I have about 11,392 pictures of this guy in the past 10 days on cell camera...
One of the most prevalent squirrels out there… But most don’t see them because they only come out at night

Thanks Jamie, they are protected here in Penna. also. Probably too cute to shoot anyways. Last night I got several more pictures and had 2 doe bedded there watching them as well.
My dogs treed a Flying squirrel one time several years ago on a very overcast morning. My wife was with us that day. When we got to the tree, she found the squirrel with bino's before I did. She says to me "what's wrong with its eyes". I literally busted out laughing. They are pretty bug-eyed, and she had never actually seen one before. Had one actually land on my leg in a tree stand hunting a Chestnut grove in early October many, many years ago. I'm not sure who was more startled, that poor little flying rat or me!
