i stained and finished 1000sq ft of red oak for my parents. Second coat poly got pin head bubbles constantly throughout the floor. I didn't notice any on the first coat. Didn't shake the cans. May have stirred to much, may have worked it to much, may have put it on to thick. My folks said it's ok but it s not. I'm pissed I hurried so much. Either way I'm sanding again. Going to try a light sand and reapply under a cabinet before going all out. Any advice from wood finishers? Im sick but will fix it.
Free advice on the internet; take it for what it's worth. Sand (220), wipe down with tack cloth, re-apply with a brush. I have never used a pad applicator to apply any type of material in nearly 40 years.
I think it's good to go. There's some small issues here and there but I won't point them out to my folks. Im not a fan of painting metal or polyurethane on wood. Any product that has a temperament like a woman is mind numbing to work with. Id buy it.
