Doggone good dog thread

Another good reminder that time flies. This two asshole turned 6 today. Bailey will be the last female dog we own, or Lulu whoever last longer, but she's been a pretty solid dog despite her quirks. Gunnar could be better with little kids for my liking, but that dog loves me more than Remi ever did, but Remi is still the 🐐. Neither one turned out to be worth a damn as hunting dogs, but they're great farm dogs and that's good enough for now.

Male dogs are more of a one person dog, not that they don’t assimilate to the family, but females are more family oriented.

Jax is definitely a mix of those 2 lol. He loves me more than life itself and is very protective of her. He loves kids and people in general as long as we’re good with them. He’s definitely got his quirks 😅

Sitting in Canal Winchester (closest ER vet to our house) hoping for the best. Been hauling dogs in the bed of my truck since I was 16 and today was the day our worst fears are realized. Going 40 down a backroad and I see a flash of something in my mirror, then nothing an a split second of "WTF was that?", then she came back into view in my mirror. She walked back to the truck but when I went to put her in her crate, she yelped like crazy. When we got to the farm, she was pissing blood, we I hit the flashers and went 80 the whole way here. No clue what crossed her mind, but where she landed, there's no way she just fell out. As my dad would say, "It's always something" 🤦
