I told the wife if we ever got another we would get the insurance for it for sure. One minute everything is cool then the next your looking for an emergency vet that’s open on the weekends $$$$$.

$623 for a basic check up, keep shots up to date and $438 of it was a year supply of flea and heartworm stuff. It's crazy. He even did his dead dog chalk outline pose in the office.
Don't take this as a complaint about our vet. We love our vets. Just the expensive world we live in is out of control.

I bought those collars for our dogs and they chewed them off one another in 24 hours. My dogs deal with fleas. Fuck 'em 
This guy just loves to hunt. I hope I can knock down enough birds for him this fall.

Ivermectin for heart worms. $35 that will out last your dogs lifespan. I also use bravacto for fleas and ticks so cost me $300 a year

Only one water retrieve but it was a pretty shot, a steady dog, and brought back to hand.

Birthday boy found a few roosters but his dad forgot how to shoot straight. At least one of them flew into some shot and fell for a nice retrieve to hand.
We won't have any more dogs, but we will go steal one now & then when the neighbor's aren't home ....

Those are the best. We have one named huck that lives down the road. Most loved dog in the world. Shows up every other day or so barking wanting us to come out and pet him and give him a treat. Per the neighborhood facebook page the little whore goes to about 10 houses on his rounds.
