Dove, Squirrel and Goose- Saturday

couldnt help it.

I figured I didnt have anything else to do, and I finally got my .22 dialed in yesterday so WTF, might as well take part in opening day of squirrel season. The humidity and the front coming in kept all the creatures down today. The woods were really quiet. I did manage 2 squirrels though one was in fact a head shot at 50 yards in a tree. looks like the 597 is ready for the first frost.

forgot I had a pic.

not the biggest squirrel in the woods, but no wasted meat there.

Same here. Critters were slow. Managed three by about 11 and hung it up. Took this early.

None on the three I got. Honestly I've only seen two in all the squirrels I've ever shot.

Dove with steel shot tonight.. got a couple more...

I snuck out Sunday morning to check a trail camera, just decided to bring the .22 along just in case....

Well that was a good idea. Went 6 for 6 in just under 2 hours time.

Heck yeah Chad!!! I'm going to check a couple cams tonight at my parents and it is a place I don't mind squirrel hunting. I haven't killed anything with my .17 yet, so I'm gonna take it and the bi-pod and set up shop in my platform blind tonight!!! :smiley_clap:

I love shooting squirells out of the tallest hickory trees in the woods....its fun to watch them fall out from 80 feet up. :smiley_crocodile:
