Like I told my neighbor in the office next door to me who is also a Buckeye fan, I never expected the departure of UM to be a good moment. I always knew it'd be "Meyer'd" in turmoil...

Actually in College and pro football the opposite is done. Coaches spend so much time together that it is imperative that you hire people that you know, trust, etc, etc. College and Pro coaches spend about twice as much time with the other coaches as they do with their immediate family. I know this first hand from playing and have a cousin that is O-Line coach for the Rams. When I was done playing he asked me if I "wanted in" and I was like thanks but hell no.

Tressel is thankful that social media basically didnt exist while he was coaching lol. I know facebook was around for like the last 5 or 6 years of his coaching career, but it was not being used as a weapon of accountability back then, we used it as a college booty call. 05' was a great year to be alive and in college just saying

Ok fire Urban. He's a bad dude. When that's done, let's get rid of all the student athletes that can't spell student. At that level, pretending to hold a higher standard is laughable. Why not just admit what it is? The players as a whole are a bunch of thugs looking to get into the NFL so they can take a knee with their paycheck. They are lead by coaches who have to pretend their players are bright youngsters, future leaders, best of the best. Meanwhile all of this stupidity is funded by folks who only care about winning, understandably so cause no one likes a loser. But sadly, those same people want to demand "character " and integrity through the process, knowing fully their own winning demands make it impossible. It's like demanding the shepherd hire wolves to guard the sheep because there aren't many real sheep dogs available. Ha

Absolutely, college football coaches are just like us, its very scary times live in regards to social justice warriors and accountability. Imagine being a teenager/early 20's adult and doing the things you did. This generation and beyond will basically be held accountable for anything they do in their young lives for the rest of their life.
My past has some skeletons that had social media existed then, I'd have paid the piper by now. I don't agree with the witch hunts, but find it laughable some people still don't understand that IT WILL come out eventually.

College football you can fire assistants for anything, its part of the culture. They would have just paid out his contract and most of the those guys are on yearly contracts, sometimes they don't even get paid out their contract unless their is guaranteed money
