Facebook bans private gun sales and misc gun items

We have a no weapons policy at work. My boss knows I carry. The owner of the company knows I carry. It's still a mystery to my while I am the first one called to every situation that needs to be handled until local pd can get there. We have it to weed out some of the people who have no business owning a firearm. I do however let some beliefs control my support. Cambells soups....I am ashamed for the many years I supported your classic chicken noodle and chicken and stars. It breaks my heart now to reflect back on all the tomato soup I once enjoyed not knowing in the end that you would wreck it all by airing a soup commercial with two dudes and a kid. Thanks for nothing!!
I couldn't give a rat's ass if my loss of business changes their mind or not. But if I have no real loyality to myself and my beliefs then there is no real loyality to anything.
I could care less what anyone else thinks or doe but like it was said I have to sleep with myself every night.
I guess the way I see things is if you have trouble sleeping because you ate a Big Mac with a pistol on your hip, maybe there's bigger issue. That's just me though...
Yep. May or may not hurt the business by not going there. He has his beliefs. He stands by them. I respect that. (Truthfully don't think any of you are disrespecting his beliefs, just different strokes for different folks.) I choose not to go into gas stations or hotels owned by middle eastern people. Doesn't seem to be putting them out of business. I know I am doing my part.
Phil and Giles I thank you for your respect of my beliefs. Even though I do a very small part that will never change anyone's way of thinking or doing business but I sure as hell feel better of myself. Do what you want and I'll do what I want. If you don't feel good of yourself all is lost in y my mind. And I feel damn good.
Nothing to be sorry about, as I don't disagree with his beliefs either. This keeps getting twisted into an attack on Frank's beliefs. It is not. I thought it was about Facebook and no private gun sales.
Phil, will the business page be coming down off Facebook or does this not rank up there with doing your part? Don't want to be a hipacrite now:smiley_cowboy: If not, that is fine and it reemphasises my point. I will where I can without much burden. There is always a level we go to.

Pride in what Giles? This isn't the America a conservative white Christian male can be proud of anymore. You are the enemy of modern America today. Unless it's like one of those parental love things. Where even though your kid is a crackhead, lying, drug abusing thief who hated you and calls you a terrorist, but you still love him kind of way.
We're like 20th in math, 18th in science, Canada's middle class just overtook ours as being the wealthiest. China has overtaken us as a superpower, we have a pussy in office who gave Iraq and Afghanistan back on a silver platter to the people we died for 13 years to expel, gave Iran the enemy of Israel billions in cash back and put them on the path to a nuclear bomb. The nominees for our next president is a tired old liberal criminal, a socialist, a limp wristed republican, and a blowhard billionaire. Blacks are more racist than whites yet whites are still demonized, they're ever closer to disarming you, Barack has all but destroyed what was once the best medical system in the world, the national debt has tripled on the backs of out children. I served too buddy. But I look around and don't see much to be proud of these days. We've been on a downward spiral for the past 30 years and have done nothing in that time except ride the coattails of our past success right into the ground. Sure as hell isn't the America my great grandfather fought for in WWII or his son in Korea.

The biggest warning sign should have been when we let a labor union bankrupt a company, then gave said union the company in restructuring, then said union promptly sold the company to the Italians and Chinese. #UAW #BuyAmerican.
We can throw the steel mills in this as well. It killed my area and many other river towns.
There's an eastern Ohio gun sale/trade page on FB that changed their name to Fun sales. Still up and running.
I didn't say it was the greatest country... It's still a pretty good place to be! And I'm proud to be a part of it. Kinda like how we bitch about the whitetail population, yea, it's going downhill...but we could be much worse off.

It's the greatest country to live in, in my opinion. Where else would any of you want to live other than here?? Sure we have our problems but like Giles said, things could be much worse.
I will not. I've never bought, nor sold a gun on FB. It's not why I use it. It's a tool to help me stay in touch with people I care about, but do not have access to on a routine basis other than on FB.
If they don't they should!
To me it would be the same as doing business with someone who took money from me. Then reward them by paying them.

Hard to stop when I never started. I have a very low opinion of Facebook to begin with. To me it is just a place to hook up with your old flame and trash your marriage.
Many will complain about the gun sales being banished, will whine a few days, but carry on there as usual. Armslist is available without searching for your old flame anyways.
