Deer don't give a shit what camp pattern your base layers are. Hell I don't think it really matters what you wear 20 feet off the ground unless you're exposed from a distance.
Totally agree with your statement!
Deer are basically color blind so,,,
it's no fashion show for me that's for sure and I know the deer care less what the hell I'm wearing.
The cheaper, the better for me for my early/warmer season stuff.
I have hunting clothes that have literal frayed horribly and almost fallen apart pretty much before I finally decided to trash them cause that's how cheap I am when it comes to my hunting clothes at times.
Like I said previously, it's my outer winter/colder condition clothes that I'll spend the money on and not for the camo pattern that's for sure.
Nope, not at all.
No particular order of requirements when it comes to late fall/winter clothes for me.
- functionality
- quality
- durability
- water resistant
- wind resistant
- reduced or no sound at all from movement
- comfort
- breathable
- fit
- color/camo pattern
- cost
I have a 'Body Heater Suite' that I absolutely love and I've used it for approximately 8 yrs. I literally wear my early season cloths out in the dead of winter, get to my setup, then crawl into my suite after I'm completely cooled off. After that, I'll be good to go all day if need be.
Pro's of the Body Heater Suite;
- it's super quiet
- conceals movement
- conceals human scent
- conceals weapon/hunting implement in the suite with me
- very functional
- durable
- both wind/water resistant
- Mossy Oak Camo Pattern
- easy to put on & take off - at least for me anyhow
- the con - it's a little pricey & hard to stay awake while wearing it if you have minimal deer activity in the area
