Well guys, most of you know or have heard that I have been dealt the best hand in a lifetime. I have been chosen as the wildcard for the 2010 Field & Stream Total Outdoorsman Challenge Championship in Lampe, MO during the week of Labor Day. My ugly mug (and somehow the closest damn picture ever) is posted so it's official. Wish me the best, throw a couple of prayers up and stay tuned to Outdoor Channel come December...

A special thanks to all the friends, family, and great online forums such as this that have helped me get to this position. I couldn't have done it with out you, and I can promise you that I am going to have the time of my life win or lose:smiley_banana:

Ha ha, that picture is from 5yrs ago. Back when I was in my prime at OU!

Thanks for all the words boys. Practice has been underway for about a week now, and after watching the 2009 shows, I am feeling pretty confident. Event coordinator just asked I not finish last, lol. I will be good with top 5, but top 3 is where I am aiming...

Best of luck, 5cent

Look for bass where the oxygen level is best. From 2 feet off the shore line to the first drop off.

Thermocline is 28-40' right now! Temps have been crazy hot, 82 surface temp in morning and close to 90 by late afternoon. Lots of structure so that is where I'll be aiming. Early morning will consist of top water frog, then senko worms in weed beds, to deep cranks, then finishing off with jigs, mainly footballs with trailers....yee haw!

Well we rolled into town yesterday afternoon. Trip down was great, good weather, little traffic and little construction. Made it in about 13.5hrs. Travel and lodging was on us, so to celebrate our 3yr anniversary and make the best of the trip we chose Big Cedar Lodge.

A few pictures of eye candy :smiley_adfundum:.....

And my favorite...sunrise this morning!
