Only one small bear overnight... This woods is huge so chances are great this bear will be long gone come Oct. Esp. since it is now mating season and who knows where he came from... But then again another nice one could show up for Oct. I'm anxious to get a camera running where Jon and Dan will be hunting... It's just a spot that holds some very nice bears all year long...

I've said it before and I'll say it again... Jersey has some of the biggest black bears in the world... I'm lucky to be living in prime bear habitat and know a lot of spots that hold bears... The piece Jon and Dan will be hunting is so thick with undergrowth that it is bear heaven... Couple this with having farm land close by, after the crops are removed they move in there... And it's known to hold some 400 lb. + bears... I expect one of them to harvest another bear there this year... I'm not going to jinx them and say both will score...With Dan making the trip in July to put a stand up and scout I'm sure they will have another trip that they will talk about long after I'm gone... Hey... Where the hell else can you go and hunt this quantity and quality bears for $137.00 ????
