Hasn’t hit 50 degrees today! Seen 4 deer and I lost count of pigs this morning. Probably 10/11 on my first walk in. Can’t wait for tomorrow. Gonna go shoot some blue bills and maybe buffleheads this afternoon

The guys saw / heard some this morning with no shots. I got in camp about 3:15am so I slept in. Everyone is out sitting or still hunting this evening. I'm sitting on a Yeti bucket in the middle of a three way intersection of logging roads like a public land slob hunter.

Well I just pulled a shitshow again. 200 offhand and rushed the shot. Clean miss. They don't give you long.

Well this time it wasn't a clean miss. Spun him. Before i could get another in him he made it back in the swamp. Trying to find where he went in but I can't locate it, not that it matters, even if I do the odds of recovery is about nil in there. Can't track in standing water. How something gets up from a 180gr 30-06 is beyond me.
