Figured with the cooler temperatures yesterday, that last night would be ideal for deer watching. Decided to go sit in one of my observation stands overlooking the beans, and had a great evening. Watched four bucks and a doe feed for the last half hour of daylight, one of them being the tall eight I posted a video of a few pages back. I'm starting to get a better idea of where these deer are coming from, and I hope the pattern continues and the beans stay green through the first few weeks of bow season. I haven't talked it over with Kate yet, but I decided last night as long as the tall eight sticks around, I am going to try and get her on him early season. He's almost identical to the buck she shot last year, and I think he would make a nice addition to the trophy room.
Gonna get out Monday and move a couple cams based on what I've been seeing. I need to get out and watch a couple other places and try to get them pinpointed also. I'll tell you, sitting in a treestand last night put a big smile on my face, as it reminded me of just what was around the corner. Low 60's, a nice breeze out of the SW; sounds like a great end of September evening.
