So yeah.... was fasting 19 hours and the crap food at the hospital sounded good so I indulged. Cheese bread and 12 boneless wings with sweet chili sauce. Something is would have eaten months ago and not thought twiceabout it.

I paid for it all afternoon. Felt like a brick in my stomach and I honestly felt nauseous at times. It honestly didn't even taste as good as I thought it would.

This is what i was saying early in these post. I cheat and I am quickly reminded why it isn't worth it. Even though I'm about 7 days into eating what is available. My system is all messed up. Might just lead right into strouds. I even had some beers. My acne is back, my joints are all but making screaming noises, and the bloating is crazy. Gas is back too along with the heartburn.

New pizza crust alternative?!

This is what they feed usView attachment 200126

Dude, they just don’t even know. People are catching on though.
How many ofthe guys you're working with look how you used to? How many are completely content with the box lunch you showed us?

Is it that they don't know or don't care to know? Besides that box lunch is probably under $8 if you buy a bulk quantity and box it yourself. ..aka cheap too and if the workers don't complain you're not out much

Just got back from a hunting trip out west. I tried to eat healthy when I could, but it was difficult so I definitely cheated more than I didn’t. Today I’m 6-7 lbs heavier than last week and my gut feels bloated and gassy again for the first time in 4 weeks. It’s a pretty blatant reminder of the effects of a shitty diet. Oh well… back to it!

Almost all of them look like I used to.

Almost everyone is perfectly fine eating theirs and what I don't eat of mine.

Both, they don't care to know.

Went to trivia night hosted by our Rotary club. Turned down all the food, liquid pork chops only. Considering it a compromise. No fried foods. No bread or wheat. No dessert. Just Miller Lite. No exactly a shining example of a good diet, but old me would have indulged in the pretzel bites and fried onion straws while I waited on my double burger with tater tots and I would have definitely had some of the fried apple pie bites I was offered. I drank an extra beer as my reward 😂

I've been following along. I can see the benefits here. I have a concern. I do NOT need to lose any weight. I could benefit from joints feeling better and probably healthier heart diet. Can you eat this diet and not lose weight? Do you just eat more? Change diet but avoid the fasting? My wife and her friends hate me and my son in regards to eating whatever we want without a thought. I'm not trying to rub it in. I recognize you guys looking to lose weight are working hard at it and it is a lifestyle choice. I realize there are sacrifices. Please don't take this wrong.

I'd love an overall healthier diet for the long term. The mental sharpness and such that you have mentioned seems to go along with the fasting. I'd love to feel a little more crisp or mentally refreshed. Not sure the fasting is an option for me.

I'm not an expert, but I think the short answer is yes. I'm not really trying to "lose weight" either, but after about three months of doing this seriously I have dropped what feels like about 10 lbs. From 195 to around 185, I suspect as I do not have a bathroom scale. I feel leaner, I look leaner, my belts are all in holes they have never seen before, and I have more energy, less pain and fatigue. I have done a couple of 24 hour fasts, but I usually eat twice in my eating window. Hell, I even ate some pork rinds as a snack after dinner the other night. The restricted eating regiment is doing wonders for me. I have also become very, very carb conscious, basically following a keto type of diet. Working for Nancy, too. She is losing some weight after only a few weeks of doing this, feeling better, too. This way of living/eating is producing very real results, and outdoors people are a very natural fit for it, so it isn't a real struggle for us, at least. This is the way homo sapiens are supposed to eat for optimal health.
