Since October, I’ve done a 72-hour fast once per month. You would think after 5-6 times it would get easier. I’m now on hour 47 of this current round and I feel about as hungry as I’ve ever been. Maybe because I have less fat reserves in me now? Maybe I need to drink more water? I don’t know… but it’s taking some serious will power to complete the journey this time. I’m reeeeally looking forward to dinner tomorrow night. Anyone else experience this?

Yup and I gave in with a single meal and then followed up with 24. Only because I was being a dick towards my family and it wasn't worth it to me.

Although the fast does improve the way I feel internally, it absolutely makes me more irritable too. I can totally relate to your experience.

I only gave in towards the end when I was happy with my weight. Before that I was on amission and it didn't bother me. Maybe that is happening to you.

Now that it is warming up I plan to start cutting weight again.

I don't generally contribute to this thread. Grilled ahi steak was solid. My wife got the fried shrimp. We have eaten well in the Pacific. Believe it or not, these were from a food truck. It was on a corner with half a dozen food trucks along the strip in Waikiki. Our Uber drivers have all said the food trucks rival the high end restaurants. We gave it a try. Not disappointed.

FYI, UNLESS they are hand cutting their fries onsite, it's BS.

"Large frozen french fries suppliers typically use seed oils for par frying before the products are sent to restaurants. Steak ‘n Shake has not disclosed the supplier of its fries.

Jesse & Ben’s, one of only a couple of companies that makes frozen fries with no seed oils, called out the chain as well, saying the fries shown in a basket at Steak ‘n Shake are likely to contain seed oils. "

Agreed, BUT, like I said earlier in this thread about this, I like the direction things are heading.

Wife found a link yesterday that verified steak and shake fries are pre coated in seed oils and bdubs wings are in fact fried in beef tallow but it’s deodorized and filled with some preservative. Not sure about the other 3. Agreed it’s a step in the right direction though.

Cabbage pie second try. Went with a breakfast slant this time. Added some grated Gruyere to the cabbage and onions, plus breakfast sausage as a “filling” in the middle. Smothered the slice with Ramp Chanterelle gravy. I hurt my shoulder patting myself on the back after we got done eating.🤣

Nancy finally nailed a legit keto bread recipe she has been working on. Bonus!
