Food, what are you eating?

My take is that I'm going to live a little and not feel bad about it aside from the physical suffering, lol. I can adhere to a strict diet easily for the other 11 months of the year. It really is hard to stick to any eating restrictions during the holidays. So far I've held up pretty well. I have eaten more sugar in the last three weeks than in the prior 6 months, and I feel like it. Aside from home made cookies, many of which are low carb versions, and other crap like that the worst thing I've done is drink more. We have eaten good food since Nancy and I are usually in charge of meal planning for holidays that involve family gatherings. Worse still for me now that Slick is not able to hunt for another week. I need those long walks behind dogs to burn off the extra calories this time of year. I'm going to eat more cookies, more shrimp cocktail, more oysters along with the usual pork and sauerkraut today. Tomorrow we're going to start buckling down again.

I do not feel bad for what I have eaten. We all have choices to make and need to stick to those choices we make. I feel great about what I have done and it is gling to help me get back on track. I was honestly looking forward to getting back on board. No guilt here and my apologies if anyone took it as such. Just trying to motivate others on the struggle bus. I know I did it silently and wished I had a place for support. I had battles everywhere and still have them all the time. I would've felt worse for denying food and sweets from people. That is how my kind of people gift, by gifting food they made. I would never deny that from them. And for whatever it's worth, I still plan to drink alcohol today. Lol

I am disliking that this is a big game day. Deep down, I know that is the addiction talking, but it sucks! I can make excuses every day but the truth is that no day is better than today to start.
Tomorrow is the true start for me because I'm enjoying football, snacks, and booze for one more day. But... I'm so ready to get after it. My inflammation is off the charts right now. I'm having serious joint pain that's 100% from inflammation and my knees hurt as bad as they ever have, which reflects the inflammation AND being over 230 for the first time since 2016. We set some fitness goals as a family, which means the girls will be eating better, too. We've seen enough from Kami to know Red 40 influences her behavior in a negative way, so we've ramped up our monitoring of that particular ingredient. Thankfully, the girls enjoy "whole foods" and it shouldn't be an issue for them to mirror our habits.

Ready to get back on track myself too. I’ve not been terrible about it but I’ve definitely cheated more times than I’d like to admit. Booze. Pumpkin pie and whipped cream. Mainly booze though. lol. The inflammation and the digestive issues are more apparent now than ever before. I’ve also noticed that I seem to get a snotty nose and puffy face in the morning when I wake up after eating shit food. Too many times now to call it a coincidence.

Water intake...

I know I've always been a drinker but I've noticed lately that I may drink a bit different than everyone all the time. Example, water bottle...1 maybe 2 drinks and it's gone. Cups in my house are 26 ounces. That is usually 2 drinks with out ice.

I feel like I have increased the amount I drink with this new lifestyle change. How about you guys? Gulping or sipping? It bugs my wofe, but im pretty sure that is just because I bug her in general😂. Always has to have something i do annoy her.
