Yup, schools closed here too! I'll be hunting mornings the first part of the week and took Thursday and Friday off work. My old man also took the second half of the week off, it should be a real good time. This is the first year in 22 years that we aren't around deer camp in Athens...

I understand that completely. Be safe out there. I know some of the guys that hunt public land around here and yall will be in my prayers for safety. I don't think public land is AS bad as some make it sound but it only takes that one guy to put people in jeopardy.

My son helped me last night go to Menards to pick up my 5' Maverick blind last. It looks good and do will a review after gun season. My son was even impressed.
He's jacked up by the nice bucks I have been seeing so decided to hunt this morning. He checked the sights on his Freedom Arms 454 Casull last night. I'm glad as this is the 1st time in 7-8 yrs he's deer hunted and like me and since he lives next door all he has to do is walk out back. He'll hunt my woods tower and I hope he gets a nice buck as he won't shoot a doe.

Tomorrow will be the first Monday of gun season I haven't taken off in awhile. I'll be out every evening this week. Main goal is getting Kody a crack at a nice buck.
