Poppin cams up on 6 properties today that i havent had cams on since gun season. Have my dad coming down jan 17th, so im going to see what i can get him on. It also be good to see what deer made it, and monitor the shed situation. There could also be a pleasant suprise. U never know.
Id love to set my dad up on this buck. He's at least 4.5, and hasnt gained anything except a little bit of mass in the past 3 years. He's sharing the property with the buck im after, so i need to take care of business first.

A couple places are going to be shed heaven. One has 12 different bucks yarded up. Bedding in every direction

It still amazes me how many sheds u fuggars find. I'm do for a 'break out' shed season. Maybe this year will be it.
Last year i think i only found 1 fuggin shed. I didnt just go once or twice either. I was on every damn property. Some props multiple times.

Good sit tonight. Gathered some good intel and went undetected.
Next sit will be in a different stand about 125 yards away. Access is going to be trickier. Gotta get settled in earlier, and sneaking out is going to be a hike. Any wind outta the west will work.

He took the back door route tonight and then staged in some thick shit until dark.
He's fun to watch. Never in a hurry and statues for long periods of time. He's bedding all over the damn place
I'll be hunting outta my blind the next two afternoons. Not sure hoe long i could make it in a tree without having the right gear.

Good deal Gordo. Anytime you lay eyes on the caliber of buck you're after in the flesh its considered a success IMO! A mature bucks mannerisms are much different than the others that's for sure! Every move they make has a purpose or is done after some thorough thought processing. How they stay alive for as long as they do is very remarkable when you think about it....for me anyway.
You better call me this spring so I can come hang out and help you find some sheds. I work cheap as long as the conditions are "safe"! :smiley_coolpeace:
