your afraid of heights but hung one of the first crazy high place stands I have ever been in.

HAHA! I am, but I also like to make sure I'm well concealed in my stands. That means I have to face that fear! In all honesty, being 25-30' up a tree is not that scary to me. Now stick me on a 6/12 roof 12' off the ground and I'm scared to the point of not being able to move. I don't do roofs!!!

I don't know if I missed a screw-in when I stepped off of my stand to get down or if my foot slipped. I do know that i ripped several finger tips off of my jersey gloves when I tried to catch myself on the platform. I landed on my feet, unhurt, looking up at the 10 or so screw-in steps I managed to not hook myself on in the fall.

Damn! That would pucker you up for sure!!! Someone was looking out for you!

I rarely use screw in steps. Just never been comfortable with them and the thought of falling on one, makes me cringe!!!

I'm not the biggest on heights either, so I am very cautious and slow getting in and out. I always attach the tether on my harness before stepping onto the platform. Haven't had any close calls at all yet, knock on wood that it stays that way!
