HELP - Seized Tire

Get a good tire guy. Seen a guy breakdown and remount a new tire with the rim stuck just like that. I had lug nuts on my jeep that wouldnt come off i got pissed and cut them off with a torch then put new studs in

Get a bigger sledge. When you hit in the right spot it bounces back better. Lol

I've been there. Do NOT drive it with loose lug nuts. Unsafe. Just need to keep working at it. Bigger trucks are worse and the inner duals often times haven't been off for a decade on some of our trucks which don't see many miles. Heat can work.

Oh man, hope u get it. The warnings about not driving with lugs loose is very solid advise, no matter how tempted you might get. Been there, done that, won’t ever do it again. I’ll have to post that full story sometime.

Floor jack or bottle jack
4x4 4-5’ long
Place floor jack on its side. Put the 4x4 against the rim you want to come off. Pump the floor jack to put a decent amount of pressure against the 4x4 and rim. Smack the rim a few times.

Hi-lift Jack. Appalachia’s most handy tool. Flip it around and use it as a spreader.

try And find a way to get the most leverage you can on one side of it. WITHOUT fucking up the rim or body panel! That quad have a winch? Call or text me if it does.

I've been dousing it with PB all afternoon. I'll inflate and hammer in the AM and if that doesn't work, it's tow strap and horsepower time. Glad this wasn't on the mountain in Missouri or somewhere along my travels!

Don't yank it off your jack stand or floor jack. Tow bill to a shop to have someone else swap it is "probably" less than your deductible for body damage repairs.

It's daylight. You done yet? Tire removal is not a 2 day project ;)

I had the same thing happen on a 71 240z that had been sitting for 28 years. Both rears were stuck on along with the frozen brake drums.
My sledge hammer solved the issue.

Well, at least I solved this mystery.

That's something you don't find in a tire every day.

I hate stuck tires. Couldn't tell you the amount of times I've laid under a car or truck and swung a hand sledge or kicked the shit out of the tire from the backside. Kick it, spin the wheel, and kick it again. Just kept spinning and kicking until it finally broke loose.
