My last words on this is that he didn't actually look that big after watching the video over & over and that had my mind playing tricks & thinking about the tall wide rack buck my cams captured. I thought those were two different bucks & I fugged up. After bringing him home, I soon realized after comparing pics, that this is the same buck in all three events. Plus, he has a kicker , which is a first for me.

Thanks everyone. I cannot give enough thanks to Rick. In regards to the shot placement, I can not explain this.... I shot him in the ass. There was no hole in his side anywhere. I almost thought it was the wrong deer. Hit him high in the hind leg & severed his femoral. Go figure. We did find the bolt, up along the trail about 15 yrds from where I 1st found blood.

I was right! Congrats Kevin, that's a dandy.

Man what a buck and holy heck on the shot! I even slowed the video down and figured you hit him where you all were saying. Just crazy. My dad shot his fair share of deer in the hips over the years. Every time the deer jumped and moved before the arrow got there but he was sure he didn't hit them back there til they were found. Usually bled like a MF'r.
