Revolver is always my first grab . Just natural to my hand and out of luck i shoot them fairly well. When it comes to distance of course any full frame semi pistol I can shoot very well to 50 yards but in the house my revolver is by my side. It will get me plenty close to my next grab which depending on the situation is either a shotgun or an AR. The wifes pistol is also within reach. If the threat is still heavy I'm slinging buckshot. They are strategically placed to where I know which way they're safe to let rip . I don't care about the shape of my house when I'm done only the safety of my family which like I said strategically placed. The AR is for when the initial threat seems to be at bay for the short few seconds and I have the time and advantage of using it close and far if needed. It all comes down to personal preference honestly and what you're comfortable with and which you can put the rounds down range the fastest and safest.
In 90 percent of people's eyes I'm over prepared and geeked out. I spend alot of time thinking about the ifs and what ifs because there is simply no time after the fact to be asking those questions when you're talking about the safety of yourself and your family. My setup is actually quite simple but very effective should anyone ever want to test it. Maybe it was the time overseas that does it to me or maybe it's because I just simply can't trust anyone anymore these days and if I hear a bump in the night my family will be my only thought no matter whos at that door . I'll die on that statement. Cheers fellas!
