Yes they drilled through the first log or on end walls 1.5 logs then I drill down to the hole and the wire runs under the floor.

There is a company that sprays every year to prevent them, I know someone who uses them and says it works.
When they stained it the second coat has a citronella additive, so far since they did it in March have not seen any bees or many bugs flying around the house
Well the crap is staring to happen, can’t find 2x6x10 pressure treated lumber within 50 mile radius of me.
That sucks. We got our materials from the Amish, if that’s an option for you.
I’m sure everyone spending stimulus money on decks and chicken coops helped.
There is a shortage from local suppliers, my wife’s company is buying lumber from all over the world because they can’t get it domestically

Going slow but great, got the treated I needed, hvac rough passed, plumbing rough passed, electrical rough inspection tomorrow, then framing Friday, insulation next week, then it is full speed ahead on t&g
