Thanks everyone. I had not gotten a trail cam pic of him since July 15 and thought he was gone. He put on a pretty good show tearing up some trees and making a couple of scrapes. I did not get a good look at him until he walked 18 yards in front of me and stopped slightly quartering away. The shot went through both lungs and exited the far shoulder. He went about 40 and fell just out of sight. Here are the 2 trail cam pics of him.

Oh how nice. You know the velvet adds some mass. Then you see a pic like this one and think "that deer is heavy!" Congrats again!
