Iowa late muzzy season thread

Well considering he was shot on Sunday afternoon, was feeding back in the same field Sunday night (according to the trail cam), and has been back out in daylight both yesterday and today, I don't think he is the brightest light bulb in the drawer!! If I can go tomorrow I am going to sit in the north tower right where he has been coming out. I just hope he is not bedding right on the edge of the timber and I bump him when I get in.

Very possible with the wound he isn't bedding far. Good Luck!!

His desire to eat will definitely be his ticket to the big cut cornfield in the sky it sounds like! It sounds like it's just a matter of time, good luck! Dang nice looking 8!

Slow night for me, went to the north tower but the gimp did not show. I only saw 4, probably due to the warmer temps. My buddy was in the center tower and said there were 16 in the mowed corn at end of light.
I snapped one pic of the group of 4. They were a dink half-rack 6 point and 3 skinheads.
There was a cam right by the tower so I checked it when I got out. Time and date are wrong, but it looks like the gimp came back out about an hour after he was shot at last night. The attached pics are from the cam. You can see the wound from Sunday night on his leg. I also included a few other up-and-comers that are visiting the plot.
Our travel plans changed due to the weather forecast for tomorrow so I will be at it again in the afternoon! My girls do not have school tomorrow and one of them is real excited to go. The wind will have us in the west tower, but if he shows and the shot is not too far I would love for her to get him!

It was a fun night in the blind with my daughter.
We did not see the gimp, but that may be because with about 20 minutes of light left and deer pouring into the field she said to me 'Daddy, can I shoot a big doe?' I said 'don't you want to wait on a big buck?' And her response was 'I've already shot a buck daddy, I want to shoot a doe now. Please daddy??' I said sure thing and got her lined up for the shot. She hit her perfect and we watched her run down a trail mowed through the corn and tip over. It was lots of fun and excitement afterwards!
This will be the last time I get to get out for a while. We head back to Ohio on Monday through Friday so I am hoping maybe next weekend. My daughter said she want to go and sit with me too!

Some pics from tonight. The one with my finger is the doe where she dropped.
