We are home from the visit with family and are back in the blind. My older daughter asked for another tag so I got her one this morning and I have both girls with me. I also have another buddy along and put him over in our main food plot. I hope if she does get one it is early so I don't miss the start of the game tonight!!!
Not too exciting of a night. We saw a young 10 and 11 skinheads. My buddy saw a ton of deer but they were all on the other side of his field. The girls had fun though! I hope to get back out tomorrow.
Trying again with the girls!
We made a move back to the bale blind where this thread started. The rest of the corn was mowed about a week ago. I also have a buddy back in the main plot where he saw lots yesterday afternoon. I'm feeling lucky today! We will see....
Nothing too exciting again tonight. Saw about a dozen and not one of them had a horn. The weather is supposed to cool down later in the week so I hope that gets them up and moving earlier. One of the does did have some white spread through the left side of her coat, the girls thought that was pretty cool. I doubt I'll head out tomorrow but will for sure later in the week.
Out again tonight. It's only 8 degrees so I hope they are up and feeding early. I mowed some more corn on Sunday to help motivate them!!! I also have 2 buddies over in a different plot. They have 8 in their field already.
It ended up being a real good night. The landowner decided he wasn't going to head out anymore this year so the big 10 I saw the first post on this thread became fare game. Well he showed up right at last light and I popped him. One of my friends who was in our main plot also shot one of the bucks we had on our cull list. Each field ended up with 40+ deer in them. I also saw 2 decent new 8 pointers I almost pulled the trigger on earlier. I'll get some pics posted after I get them off my phone and get the deer caped out.
