The Hornady 50gr Vmax was too fast and light out of my 20'' 1/8 twist. It was all over the place. I've been shooting some Hornady match 63 gr BTHP and they're half MOA without trying hard.
Did you try the 55s

I've never seen a rifle that wouldn't shoot Vmax bullets. I took a tour of the Hornady plant and seen the Vmax bullet making machine. Quite the show. Since we are a Hornady Dist. we got a VIP tour.

I'm pretty much all VMAX in my center fires so far.... I'm going too experiment with them in my .22 mag this summer too se how they react as well..... I've just got in 55 grainers for the AR I just got off of Beener and will get them reloaded up as well too try them out....
Skipped them and went to the 63s. Like Beene said above, everything I've read says my gun loves the 69gr TAP rounds. Which is really a Vmax bullet. 63gr match was the closest I could find off the shelf.
They shoot damn good in my 39M. I shot a few hogs last year from the house with them and one was pushing 140 yrds . They did well in my mag I hope they work for you as well. Problem is finding them.
What weight? I have some in 55gr that I am going to try. Nosler rocks.I will be sighting in some varmit gernade bullets this spring out of my rock river.. I will keep you posted . I believe they are loaded to 3200 with cfe.
