I tried to read and catch up. I am now a coffee drinker...my wife has been for a long time but now I like it too. Our pot has been giving us fits. It bews a pot for us to split in the mornings and she usually makes herself a pot after work. So 2 pots a day is what it makes. Currently have Mr. Coffee with built in filter.

Replacement time and I told her to do some research on what might last. I know she doesn't like how long this drip takes, but she isn't one that likes to wait on anything. The timer is what has been on the fritz and it leaks a little. Both things that piss her off. I can deal with it, but she almost just had a complete cereal isle situation. Which made me think of Jamie's first post here. Maybe I should just run to town and buy one or just wake up early and grab one on the way home. No way I can deal with her acting like that again without me pointing and laughing in her face. Which, I don't think would go over well. Someone tell me what to buy and I'll make it happen.

Thanks

First cup from the new machine this morning and, I must say, it makes a fine cup of coffee. 👍🏼👍🏼 For meView attachment 136126
I’m glad this thread came back up. The Ninja has developed a leak somewhere. After brewing a pot there will be a couple ounces of water underneath on the counter. Not every time I brew but often enough to be annoying. I’ll keep it until it pisses me off enough to replace it. Pretty ridiculous for it to not last 4 years when the one we had before lasted 15+

I'm heading for cup #3 right now. Wife brought up switching back to grounds & pot over cups this past weekend. I kill 2-3/day, her 1-2 so it makes sense. Most repetitive little things in life don't bother me, but for some reason dumping filters and having to rinse/dry the items every single day hits differently. I do miss BRCC, but maaaannn the convenience.

For the Keurig users, I bought the stainless steel K-cup holders to put your own coffee grounds in. Was getting expensive buying the pods especially when I’d need a second or third cup at work. That and all the plastic waste, not to mention all the talk about microplastics. You do have to do a little research for the model Keurig you are using BTW.

A couple of months ago I grabbed a bag of beans at Costco that comes from a roaster in Columbus called Crimson Cup. "Armando's Blend". It is expensive, but superb coffee. and our everyday coffee now since the first bag. Smooth, nutty medium roast. Not a big deal to me but also certified organic and fair trade.
