Jesse's 2015 Pics & Videos

Hard to beat cam checks when you have a buck like this around! Except for when he feels the need to spar with every buck coming and going down there in the bottom! Both bucks hit the scrape tree prior to this little scuffle...

He's coming from the E here, which is starting to be the trend for how he makes his first appearance of each day/night.

Not long after, he comes back from the W...

He's got a little competition too. I won't pass this buck given the chance...

Any good stand locations to the east which may help cut him off in daylight hours? If so, AND he likes to tangle. . . .Sounds like the perfect buck to call in with the antlers rattling loud!

Just over 100 yards from where this cam is, the holler pinches down and there is a creek crossing. I have a ground blind tucked up against the hill on one side, and a stand on the other side that overlooks my Runway plot and the creek crossing.

Good stuff buddy!! You've got some great deer this year. Looks like DD is setting up shop as the dominant buck in the area. Kill him dead!!

Awesome pics Jesse! I wonder who's getting the daytime pics? Hope he starts showing up during daylight soon for ya! Good luck with him!!!

IMO that other buck looks 3yo. Don't settle for that deer.... you have a 155-160 inch deer hanging out that u have history with....

I'd expect a man in your shoes to think like this, and I'm not saying I disagree with your assessment of his age. However we all know there are no guarantees in the woods and this buck would be my best to date, so letting him walk while hunting another buck that may, or may not even be alive, is not something I think I can do. I let a borderline OBB walk on film in 2008 while hunting a ghost. That won't happen again. This deer would make me happy, so I plan on shooting him given the chance.

It was a slow week in regards to pictures of Daryl Dawkins, but things are picking up with other bucks. This is a new 10-point I've never seen. Hoping he makes it through the year as he could be a stud next year. I'd also let Tracie shoot him this year if he showed up...

This 9-point is also a new guy in the neighborhood. IMO, he's 4 and I'd be happy shooting him as well. Decided to call him Farva. "Is that a niner?"

The buck I thought was just an 11-point, actually has a split brow.

He locked up with every buck that came in to the corn while he was down there, so I feel like he earned a new name since he is no longer just an 11-point. My favorite MMA fighter is Donald "Cowboy"" Cerone, so this buck will go by Cowboy.

And then there's this guy. He's a show off... lmao

I respect that..... this is probably the most quality deer you have had on camera on quite a while isn't it?

Hands down. I can't even think of another year remotely close. It was a perfect storm. The farm north of us that plants close to 200 acres was all beans. South of us, all beans. The only corn was on us and Hippie Ridge. Hippie Ridge is in year 6 post-timbering and is thick as all get out. My food plots are the best they have ever been and I've applied the least amount of pressure that has ever been applied to this point in the season. If I have a miserable year out there this year, I either the worst hunter on the planet, or cursed. I feel like this is the year I break through. Hopefully that feeling is less optimism and more truth!
