Less than 2 foot waves was forecast for yesterday morning. It definitely was not that 18 miles out LOL. We finally found fish and ended up just a couple shy of our 3 man limit before we decided to head in.

Good eaters, up to 22". Caught a 7 1/2 # last week. I should have listened to my driver (wife) when she said "we should go back over that school, the whole screen is lit up". We went farther north and when we finally turned around and came back through them they jumped all over the spoons again. LOL I was hoping for some steel head for my dad but we never got into them. The water clarity out there was drastic and the chatter on the radio seemed to be where the most success was apparently. There were not any boats visible where we ended up. We stopped in 60 FOW first and screwed around too long before running to my marks in 70-72 FOW and got on them.

I fished Saturday and Sunday and pulled a 4 man limit and a 5 man limit. Spoons are still dominating but bandits and J7 rapalas are catching also. We had a 26 inch fish each day and the fish averaged 20 inches

Got into some nice fish yesterday . Day started out good then the bite died , probably due to fishing pressure cause there were alot of boats piled into a small area . Made a move in shallow and got on a hood bite with no one around . Had 6 fish over 27" yesterday . 3 man limit .

Had a tournament out of Ashtabula yesterday, caught 30+ over 18” small mouths. Half dozen under 18”. One fish per guy limit (due to closed season) total for us both for the two was 10.1lbs.
We would of been close too 22 lbs with a 5 fish limit. Was a helluva day up there with very little boat traffic. All fish were released alive and well....
We walked away with the first and big bass pot....

Nice fish J!
I just checked the floor storage of my boat and found my trolling rods are still there. I’m 75 percent sure I’m going to make the drive up to fish a few hours tomorrow. 8 hours on the road for four on the lake makes sense. Lol

Makes perfect sense since if you find them you’ll have a limit in no time....
Good luck Brock, be safe buddy...
