Hustler super z, clean cut it all. We did the same thing you are looking to get after with a hustler raptor xd for a couple hundred hours on top of other mowing duties till we upgraded to a commercial mower

Dealer service is critical. Buckeye power sales wouldn’t give me the time of day during busy season. My local hustler dealer, Kuhn turf, is great.

another nod for Stihl. Run non-ethanol, good mix, and keep the filters / spark arrestor screen clean you’ll be good for hundreds of hours.

My BX2370 with deck and other attachments is perhaps the best $ that I've ever spent. Perfect mini farm purchase.
If i wasn't going to use it to mow and wanted a utility, homestead, bush hog, food plot/ garden tractor would you go with the or the Lx series? leaning towards a snowblower with either

Hedge- For your needs I would step up to a larger tractor. Larger frame. 35-45hp range. 35hp minimum.

@P8riot I cannot speak for the battery powered tools. I've not tried them. I would have to see a side by side to believe a corded blower is more powerful. Don't buy corded simply because you will need hundreds of feet of cord. I am entirely Stihl at this point.

I've used smoother running and more powerful weed whackers (Redmax) when I was a solo operation. For all around use and replacement cost it is in the Stihl line up. When I added employees they started breaking stuff and I got 3-5yrs instead of 8-10 years out of stuff.

Stihl chainsaws are solid. If you go with the commercial line they get even better. There is minimal difference between my 391 and 362 except the 362 has better internal engine parts, better balance, and a tad lighter. Displacement is similar.

Don't rule out a side by side over a quad. Or if you go quad, get a small trailer to pull behind the quad or tractor. Firewood, mulch, dirt, brush, etc is nice to move in a dump bed or small trailer.

Yes, I'd step up to the LX series if mowing the lawn isn't a use. Like Phil said, a 35hp +/- is a sweet spot and plenty of tractor to do most everything you'll need.

Boy am I glad my research has led me to products that you guys agree with. Great minds think alike!!

After more research, I'm thinking I may have to up the tractor to the B01 series. Bigger frame and more ground clearance. 20 acres is quite a bit to ask of the BX. If I ever want to do something with the 6 acres that are tillable, it's a big IF, but it still might be too much for the B01, but I know it would be a lot for the BX. I like to shoot high and hit low when it comes to products. I mean lets face it, Im mainly going to use it to cut grass, but if I want to pull a tree I'm going to need the bigger frame. Rough cutting the field might be an issue from what I have read about the BX and the dreaded hydraulic cooling fan. I think that B01 is the best mix of size and price point for what Im needing. They are the same hp and general features as the BX, only the frame and hydraulics are upgraded.

Get the tractor and buy quality battery tools. I am a Milwaukee fan boy myself. Mainly because I have the same charging system and batteries for everything.

I would also really consider turning a bunch of that into habitat. Or with a tractor you could do some badass plots.

Do the higher end battery trimmers have a full size shaft length comparable to gas trimmers?

I have a middle of the road dewalt one for down here and feel like the hunch back of Norte dame trimming.
