Back in the 70's we would have the railroad guys toss us chalk from the caboose they we're riding in when they went by. Always thought they had the best job in the world back then lol.
How about walking the rail road tracks picking up iron ore pellets to use in your sling shots?

I had one of these as a Kid. Wish I kept some of this stuff.
CJD3 and I had these as kids at gramp and grams house...............
I was trying to think of what they were called earlier. My friend had one and would make snakes and bats. He was very popular when he would bring them into school and give them away. I also remember them having a rubbery chemical type of smell.

Damn awesome thread, but it did make me feel old as dirt looking through it.
Remember when we rented VCR tapes? Had to wait for a movie to become available on tape. Never happened until after it finished in the theaters. Sometimes it was a year or so after it left theaters before it came out on tape. How bizarre.
