Had the same bike but it was green! Metal flake green seat with silver tassels hanging from the bars.
While making room around the house yesterday I found these. Anyone with a sister from the era knows the pain of these damn things.
Oh hell yes,my 2 brothers and i did it,after the 3rd one went off i saw my brother hit the ground,then he ran in the back door of our farmhouse with his hand over his temple,ran through the kitchen,dining room and back out the front door,blood flowing heavy.
Dad was watching a Reds game and said ...what the hell's going on...called the squad and to the hospital he went.
Cut some major arteries and came close to losing his eye.
Still cringe whenever i see that scar.
