People who lived through the 70’s forget, and folks who didn’t live through it, that these drive trains were wrapped with POS cars 😂😂😂
Sure they were fast and the body’s were cool looking and unique too a point. But with less than a 100k on them, they were rusted out, door dropping 1-2” when opening and had too lift up on the door too close it. Lean against the body and it caved in like a pop can, had too have a book of matches to set the points every couple months. Brakes, tires were changed 2-3 times in the time we currently change our brakes. All the accessories on the engine were wore out by 50k miles.
We all enjoy turning the key and starting our daily drivers, but the old non fuel injected cars you’d have too pump the gas pedal, turn it over and repeat numerous times to get it running. During the winter we always had a can of either around too make it happen if the previous method failed....
I had the pleasure of walking around Barrette Jackson’s this last winter out in Arizona. We were reminiscing about these old classics, and all the nuances that kept them running back in the day 😂😂😂 Thank god for all the aftermarket ingenuity 😂😂😂

You could also buy them brand new off the floor for what you pay in taxes on one now...
