Hunter is back at the camp with 3 of his podnahs. They got the fever and it’s cooler this weekend which makes hunting much more enjoyable.

I have to work Sunday so I’m not going for two hunts. Instead after I get off work Thursday morning, the wife and I are meeting my Cajun buddy and his girlfriend at the camp and heading to north Missouri to hunt his property. We will be hunting Friday through Sunday and heading home Monday. I’m excited but it’s a short trip to drive 13 hours, hopefully it will pay off.

Hunter has the blood flowing. First hunt this morning.

And the trip begins. Headed to camp tonight, 4 hr dr. Then 10 in the morning. Should be in stand tomorrow evening. Not sure how much phone service I will have. Stay tuned and wish me luck Tooville.

Well only deer I seen was the doe my buddy shot and ran 200 yards through the woods and died 40 yards behind me.

Seen a small doe and a cow horned spike this morning. We went to other property to look for my buddy’s buck he lost in September. I found it.

Well didn’t see any but everyone else did. Status quote for me. Lol it will happen or it won’t. All good.

We scored the buck close to what the cam pic showed. Come up w 162 w 41 2/8 of mass.
It was laying a mile away from where it was shot in some grass near a small pond out in the field. Coyotes ate some of the antlers off. Wasn’t knawd on by squirrels or rats.
