Loaded down and northeast bound. Got a late start this evening and should be at the camp a little after midnight. Riding solo, Hunter and his buddy leaving at noon tomorrow after he sticks a doe he’s got tied up behind the house. Dj coming up Friday.
Have intentions to hunt in the morning depending how I feel when I get up. Either way I will tend to the 3 cams I have out and put some regular cams out along w some yellow nuggets. Probably go set some lines to catch some fresh catfish. Menu for the weekend is teal and boudin one night and chicken and dumplings Saturday.
Weather will be 47 Saturday morning which is cold here for the opener. Got my 22 mag and shotgun for hogs and tree rats. Should be a great and much needed event.

Got in about 12:30 pm. Woke up at 5 and said fuck it. I can tell I’m getting old lol. Anyway went to the property and put batteries in my 3 cell cams and put 3 regular cams out and some corn by stands for when my boys arrive to hunt. 56 degrees this morning was nice I must say for down in these parts.

We found the elk and will putting in some work. Called the Wlf and he said kill it as fast as you can and to call him. This will be epic.
