Yes I have an either sex tag left and 3 doe tags. The boys have all six tags here I believe. Got some kid hunts planned to shoot some does.

I probably won’t shoot anything unless I’m gonna mount it. Duck season opens Saturday. Got some friends grinding and sealing meat from their kills wanted me to go get my deer to do them. Coming back from Walmart getting sealer bags.

Thanks fellas, it’s been a great last 4 days. I hunted a lot this year, 18 days in Iowa came home tail tucked. I don’t how many sits here but it been a few. Feels good to paint the leaves.

Hunted yesterday as it was warm here and only seen a small doe. Got out the stand at 9 and went to my camp. Meet up w a buddy and we went to the nwr to go see if we could find a buck my other buddy shot last Saturday and lost it. Walked for a mile or 2 looking for buzzards and or smell it. We didn’t find anything. Got back and deboned the rest of the meat.

Dj drove in last night and is bow hunting the nwr. Today and tomorrow is the only nice weather then the 10 day weather outlook looks like shitty summertime weather w highs in the 70’s.

Hunted this morning seeing 3 deer. Had a bobcat come out and it got the business end. Came back to the camp and started putting meat up.

Seen 2 does and a fawn late this evening. One doe was a giant doe with her brisket flopping as she walked. Had her at 100-110 yards. Decided to do a neck shot and missed . Trying to save meat and easier to process, yes even I miss.

Come back to the camp and open the fridge and light was off. Went to breaker panel and I have a split breaker tripped. Reset it and fridge is working….whoo dodged the bullet like the doe. Sitting on the couch I hear it shut off and breaker is tripped again. Fuck time for a new fridge as the freezer was barely freezing and fridge wasn’t real cold. I bought it used and it was fine. Came up in September and it didn’t seem like it was cooling right. Pulled it from the wall to check the coils and they are clean and fan is working. Road trip tomorrow after the morning hunt I guess. This time buying a new one. Gonna run 650-750$. Just a simple 18 cubic feet stand up fridge.

Dj hunted all day and almost shot a doe but no clear shot and a big 4pt. Seen 16 hogs but we’re out of range. Hopefully tomorrow is better.
