Had a buddy call me up that works a bar and grill on the bay. He said they was hosting a NWTF banquet. Well what was I to do, so me and the wife loaded up. Had jambalaya and boiled crawfish for eats and I bought a few raffle tickets. Ended up winning a cz 20 gauge pump shotgun. Actually the money I spent, let’s just say I got a decent discount

Went to the camp Friday around noon. Set some lines. Ran them yesterday and caught 2 catfish. Ran them this morning and caught two turtles. Going to set turtle lines in the “high fence” this evening

Just got home. Weighed the turtle and got 44# on the scale. He’s in the tank w the 65# one. Me and Blake caught a small one in his honey hole and released it. Then we took my boat to another lake to try to grab one w the hook. Nothing going but we were driving in the boat and I seen what I thought was wood floating. I said look at that wood, looks just like a turtles back. Sure enough it was a dead turtle floating. We grabbed it up as it wasn’t rotten and it drowned on someone troutline they left out. We cut the turtle free and put in the boat to at least save the shell. Hate to see something wasted.

Are you guys allowed to keep them? Our turtle season is closed until the end of June. We're only allowed to keep one loggerhead per year and it has to be over 24 inches, and 4 soft shells

We can keep as many soft shells and common snappers we want and any time. Loggerheads is one a day or per vessel

Word on the street is some dinosaurs are being caught. Also caught some blues and flatheads. We at the camp hunter is in Alabama hand grabbing flats
