Quit raining around 4 so I went to scout a different area putting in 3 miles behind the camp. Found a couple decent spots. Hb had a buck tending a doe in the woods but couldn’t tell how big, woods are thick, wet and dark. Also had a doe come by him as he tried to keep an eye out on the two for an hour. Dj didn’t see anything. Hopefully tomorrow brings deer on their feet. Looking like a 3 day window now to get it done since the weekend will be raining again.

Also looks like a hurricane is coming to Louisiana for this weekend. Hopefully it’s not much.

So a quick update. Woke up, grabbed my phone out of the truck that was charging and my man is a winner! GO TRUMP!

The boys headed out to their spots and I decide to hunt behind the camp a mere 500 yards. Get close to my tree and someone shines me off. I exit and head another 600 yards to a secondary spot. Find a tree I could barely get my climber on and attach to the tree. I have to climb using my top in order to get my legs up in the bottom when it comes flopping down breaking the top. Well shit stand is broke but I’m ok and my president will be in office. Time for an ole school ground hunt. Found a fallen tree and made a makeshift blind on a finger of the ridge. Haven’t seen anything but life is good and Jesus is great.

Dj text me saying he has a 4pt under him and can hear bucks fighting 100 yards away. Hunter text and says he had a 120 8pt walk 20 yards from his stand. Later I will go back to camp and grab my saddle and find a tree in the area of the boys block of woods. Almost in tears thankful my stand broke when it did. GO TRUMP!
