If he can shoot and wants to go let him go and shoot one! Kids are smart and he will figure out what it's about with your guidance. Sydney tells me her deer taste better because she killed it. She's only nine and she gets it! Helped in the field dressing, processing , packaging and jerky making. I wondered also if she was old enough and now I know it was the right choice!

Too finish my hunt from this evening the deer were moving. Seen over 30. One bear way across. So I’m watching 20 deer a mere 200 yards feeding and out steps a bigger deer. I can see horns at 225 w low light. Put gun out and it’s “lucky”. I dial up my scope and to myself I say “oh my”. He bigger than what I thought. Watched him for a minute and he disappeared out my scope. He’s running back on my property w the 20 does and fawns in tow. wtf I thought and look behind them and here come a black fucker. 10 minutes later that bitch walking to my stand where my atv is parked beside it. Now I 14 100 yards to my south on field. I try to shoo him off and he stops at 20 from me looks at me as I’m talking to him to GTF out of here. He slowly turns around and walks back. I look out to the north of me where that bear came from and another is crossing the field on same trail. I watch it and look way behind him about 300 yards and there is another bear
. Showtime time ends and I get down w still decent shooting light and drive atv without busting the 14 deer on field.
Tomorrow I’m hunting my north line next to big woods to hopefully hear a wild Tom and maybe see some deer. Oh and another guy puddin popped a big doe late this evening and I will be taking pearl on another track after my hunt. Gonna get down mid 30’s tonight.

Not much to report this morning, still had a nice hunt. Seen like 10 does and fawns. Didn’t hear my turkey this morning. Fixing to leave camp and go jump shoot some rainbow teal.

Made the walk and didn’t see a “wood duck”! Got my stuff to deer hunt and went to property. Around 4:15 sent me a snap and pic of a spike under his tree taking a “nap”. At that point I had five deer out not far from me. Seen a total of 26, one being a spike. Went to a podnahs camp, he cooked some teal and fixings and we cleaned D’s deer there and deboned it.
As we were cleaning it I asked D if he took pics, he said no take one now.

Dj hunted the nwr w bow and didn’t see anything. I duck hunted a new spot and didn’t shoot my gun 
. Think I’m gonna take the evening off and clean up the camp and grill some steaks over the fire tonight. I may or may not have some refreshments . Bet on May!

For the record, I can’t kill shit here lately. Scratched this morning between 4 of us. Pearl looking for someone to adopt her.

Hunted this morning on the river where me and Hunter killed the ducks during the freeze in January. Killed one wood duck, seen 9 total.
This evening I’m taking my buddy chandos to my place to bring his boy to kill his first deer. 100% chance if he can hit one.
