Had them same fawns circle between me and the house. So I just settled in and watched them go back and forth, 5 in total. They didn’t want to go into the thicket at all! Finally went up into the yard at dark and I slowly followed them up. Not a bad sit for doing everything wrong! Lol

I was skunked tonight. First skunk in the stand I was in since I can remember. It's been awhile!

Clay, I was thinking the same thing on my walk out. I haven't heard turkey or coyotes howling. Kinda strange.

Had 13 toms walk by my stand @ 40 yards at 2:30
Usually I see more hens but they just strutted by....

I'm being spoiled this year.

Changed things up. Climbed up an f'n mountain with a 5 gallon bucket to sit on to a spot I haven't ever sat.

Major funnel. Inside corner, ridges coming together with deep ass drainages that are damn near impossible to cross. Can't believe I haven't hunted there or had a stand set.

Running late as shit. As soon as I sat down had two does come through. Fork horn followed. He was under 10 yards. 3 does after that munching on acorns constantly checking back where they came from. Eventually a buck popped out, singled one doe out and dogged her out of there full speed. Saw silhouettes of 2 others at dusk.

Need to pop the millennium up sky scraper style, or dig in a good ground spot. Stand will really allow me to cover that passage.

Not sure how much hunting is in store for the weekend, but am at least hanging a set.

This place has always been better for big boy appearances the latter half of november

Excited as shit to hang a stand in there. Why I haven't before I don't know. I'll take some good pics when I do

Didn’t make it out today but going to the range first thing in the AM to get the 44 sighted in for gun season and then straight out for a mid day through evening hunt

Good luck this morning to all who go out. I’m headed to work until noon, then will be in the stand shortly after. Lots of action on the cameras from 11am-6:30pm this past week.
