I'm pretty sure I didn't see anything with a pulse tonight not even a bird. Trees were rockin.
Breezy, breezy from the West-Southwest @15 sustained and gusts up to 24 mph.

I wish I’d known it was going to lay back down! I would be out...I need a new weather app that tells me wind.
Good luck everyone. I'm finishing dinner and then sneaking out back to do some recon. 4 does were in the plot this morning.
Snuck out with the HEAVY crosswind to glass the field. As expected, not much moving. That wind is kicking pretty good. This weekend's weather is looking promising for deer processing.
Tried a ground assault over a clover patch. I was on the wrong side of the field. A no doubter came out at last light. Sure got the heart pumping! At least I know he’s in the area.

Worked until nearly dark. Ran in the house. Washed the mud off my hands. Grabbed binoculars and did some road scouting. Saw 3 at last stop. One was a 120" 8pt just chilling and eating behind a barn. Peeked my head around corner of the barn and he was in bow range. Pleasant surprise to see a few moving early.

I havent posted much in here, went out Sunday evening, had a 4 and a 6 fight in the bean field for few minutes before they run off. Took my boy out for the first time last night, didnt see anything in the blind, Beau kept on sticking his head outside the blind to see what the noise was and see the deer (squirrels). We sat from 6:15 till dark and he didnt do to bad for a 5 year old Tonight got skunked
In the Corner Pocket tonight. Little back drafting going on, but I'm not moving. There's bedding nearby and plenty of green browse. 3 scrapes around the edge of this plot as well. With 10 and 23 as lifelong "lucky" numbers, I try to hunt October 23rd every season. One of these days I'll kill a nice buck on "my" day.
