I go back to work on the 29th. I will spend the 4 days before Thanksgiving at our WV camp for rifle season. I will be off the first 3-4 days of Ohio gun. It will be a total stranger or a certain cull buck before I use my Ohio tag.Lol Mike! Good luck out there today! The weather the past 3-4 days have been ideal! How many more days you got left to hunt? You able to get out during gun season?
I was in the DC area also when in the army....No I actually grew up in Kentucky. 5 years in the Army, in the DC area. Moved to Parkersburg, WV in 2003. But I hunt in Beverly.
You might know the guy on Hunt on, Tom Schilling or my hunting buddy Preston Ginther. They both went to Fort Frye.
I was at Ft. Belvoir from 1989 - 1995. Stayed in the area until 2003..I was in the DC area also when in the army....
Ft. Myer, Virginia. ‘82-‘85.
I’ve been there...I was in the 561st MP company...they changed the name to MDW (Military District of Washington) MP company around ‘84 or ‘85. We were assigned to the 3rd infantry (the guys who guard the tomb of the unknown soldier). It was good duty...did a lot of security for wreath laying ceremonies.I was at Ft. Belvoir from 1989 - 1995. I was in the Signal Corp. Work at INSCOM. Information Systems Command. Did a lot of bowhunting on Ft. Belvoir. They only allowed bowhunting so it was great, the deer never really got spooked like they do when the guns start going off.I’ve been there...I was in the 561st MP company...they changed the name to MDW (Military District of Washington) MP company around ‘84 or ‘85.
