Feeling better each day now!

Back on top of the North ridge once again w/ virtually no East wind and a slight sprinkle of rain, temp @37.

Very quiet and I'm expecting some fog towards the end of the hunt.

My head is definitely on a swivel because everything is wet and I won't hear them coming.

Sitting behind this oak tree that covers about 2/3 of me. I’m on the edge of the woods, 200 acres of cut corn behind me. This oak still has a lot of acorns underneath, there’s a lot of fresh sign and browse that’s pretty torn up all around. I’ve been interested in this spot but I’ve never tried hunting it, my spot is 300 yards to the east of here. Could be a fun sit, really not sure what to expect.

Didn't see anything this morning in the drizzle rain. Very few shots heard from afar. I got down early to dry out.& warm up.

I'm back at it again for the rest of the day in a new tree w/ the climber & shotgun.

No rain nor snow at the moment, but we're supposed to have snow flurries around 4:00 p.m.

Should be prime for some good deer activity hopefully soon w/ this stiff NW wind.

We finally had 3 doe's come by at 20 yds yesterday but son is buck hunting so they got a free pass.

Today he's back in school so maybe after school we can hit it again. Good luck today

Skunked this Am. Thought it might be a good deer movement day but nope. Will try different spot on same property Thursday.

Yesterday sighted in at a public gun range in state forest. Only saw 5 trucks on road. Jeff Co.

That was you I heard!!!! The property I hunt isn't far as the crow flies. I hear the shooting there all bow season and yesterday. Somebody was having fun with some high speed shootin'. LOL

Seen 8-10 on the move just before 8 this morning, @70 yards to the East/my right, and headed SE. Hope they make back my way this evening.

3:35 p.m. Update:

Bucks are on their feet. Just seen two young Bucks just South of me @60 yards rubbing trees, and heading SE along the South creek bottom.
