I have trail cam pictures of him. He bedded right there for the last hour of daylight. Wind to his back and watching to the west, towards me. I snuck out of the blind without being detected. The chess match continues...
Bet you could make it to the stand this morning without the deer hearing you lol. Fucking wind! Friday when I was out this little seven pointer walked my path right to the blind. He looked and smelled for a couple minutes before he lost interest and walked away. At one point he was at six feet. One of the coolest things that ever happened to me while hunting.
Yeah, this wind kept me inside for now. We will see how long I can stay away. I’m really wanting to be in the woods right now!
Yeah I hear ya Dave! Going to go make sure I can cross the ditch before I suit up. I'll get out at some point today!

Would be a good morning for a spot and stalk, or a still hunt through standing corn, but that's about it. Wind is blowing something fierce right now. So I'm still in bed. Lol

That time of year where I draw a line with the weather. Over 50 and windy? It's ducks and geese. Feels like deer weather? You'll find me in a tree. First duck hunt of the year for me and this was the result of the first trigger pull. I better go home now!

Made it out and brought some snacks to get me to dark. It's nice and protected from the wind back here.
Snuck into the oak hang on set that the big ten came under Friday night. This wind gets to single digits and I think we'll be in business.
The wind direction for this spot is shitty, but I just couldn't resist a first sit at my new farm. This is mostly a recon mission tonight.
