Well, I couldn't take it anymore!
Being indoors in the middle of November, just did NOT seem right too me.
The rain quit a little bit ago, the sun is out, yes, it is gusty out, but mainly above the tree tops and I am set up in a huge bowl, at the lowerest point of the creek valley, just off the lower CRP field to the E-SE. A funnel area.
I washed all my hunting clothes earlier this morning. As soon as rain stopped, I got dressed, grabbed my 'Lone Wolf Alpha Stand' and only three LW sticks out of the five that I have, hiked out about 75 yards right behind the house.
I'm now set up in a huge sycamore tree, only about 12' off the ground in between two heavy deer trails, one that leads to the bait station area and the other going to & from the lower CRP field just to my East.
There are plenty of tree rubs just on the outscirts of that CRP field, very close to me as well, most are within bow range.
Like I said, I could NOT take it anymore and the wind is more above the tops of the trees than down in this valley.
I'm hoping to catch a good cruising buck off guard in these type of weather conditions.
We'll see what happens.
