Well, I couldn't take it anymore!

Being indoors in the middle of November, just did NOT seem right too me.

The rain quit a little bit ago, the sun is out, yes, it is gusty out, but mainly above the tree tops and I am set up in a huge bowl, at the lowerest point of the creek valley, just off the lower CRP field to the E-SE. A funnel area.

I washed all my hunting clothes earlier this morning. As soon as rain stopped, I got dressed, grabbed my 'Lone Wolf Alpha Stand' and only three LW sticks out of the five that I have, hiked out about 75 yards right behind the house.

I'm now set up in a huge sycamore tree, only about 12' off the ground in between two heavy deer trails, one that leads to the bait station area and the other going to & from the lower CRP field just to my East.

There are plenty of tree rubs just on the outscirts of that CRP field, very close to me as well, most are within bow range.

Like I said, I could NOT take it anymore and the wind is more above the tops of the trees than down in this valley.

I'm hoping to catch a good cruising buck off guard in these type of weather conditions.

We'll see what happens.

I'll add,,,

I am located in sothern Ohio, which the wind gusts aren't supposed to be as bad as northern Ohio and, like I said, I'm in creek valley, surrounded by large hills and ridges that are closer. I am also in a more open area than my other set up locations, less trees, plus the trees that are closets to me are sycamores, which are very forgiving green trees when it comes to strong winds. I've hunted in far worst conditions than today's, trust me, this is a cake walk in comparasion.

Totally appreciate any concern & support, thanks!

That's a typical nice afternoon breeze in the flatlands. I put cinder blocks on the kids trampoline so it wouldn't end up a mile away. Wind is gettin it 43 degrees no power still buck and doe laying out in the middle of the field watching corn stalks blow by. Hopefully you kill one that close to ur house for an easy drag!!!

Am I the only one out? Beautiful morning. Cool but a little breezy. Lots of trees down after yesterday. Just a morning hunt today, chiro appointment this afternoon. After helping Tyler move out yesterday and sitting in stands for 16 days it’s well deserved. Helps that she is a busty blonde.
No deer activity as of yet.

Well, 'pine licking branch' #1 tree didn't survive that major blast of wind we recieved yesterday, which sucks!

Looks like I'll have to figure out what to do with it at some point and do a little bit of clean up for this hunting setup.

A couple of deer in the alfalfa feild currently, grazing. That's it so far.

Oh well, 'Mother Nature' can be a bitch at times.

Good luck to anyone that is hunting this morning!

Out in Richland County nothing yet but nice morning.

Yesterday during the biggest burst of storms and winds was so bad the trees were whipping sideways. Right in the middle of it 3 does and a buck zig zagging around the back yard in a panic. Should have hunkered down.

I watched them and the Browns from my comfy chair.
