We're in. Feels great out here. We can hunt until 8:15, then it's off to school. We're in the largest landmass school district in Ohio and my 2nd grade daughter is probably the only kid hitting the woods before school K-12 today, and it was her choice to go. Proud dad here

Off to a bad start. Spooked a pretty good one. He snuck in behind me. I shifted my weight and the stand popped. He trotted off, tail down and no snort. Fuuugggg.

@bowhunter1023 its awesome that K is hunting before school but unless that school has changed a lot I’m sure other kids are out or just skipping classes altogether. Keeping your grades up got you time off in November at my house.

Just breaking my day here in Kansas. 30 degrees at 5am supposed to be light wind out of the SE. Hopefully we have an eventful hunt.

No deer yet but it’s COLD! Perfect weather for hunting. Counted doves as they landed on my pile...68! Seems to be more everyday. Good luck everyone.

Surprising, I have no deer action anywhere as of yet and I can glass a long ways from this stand. A coupe of cornfields to the W-NW, alfalfa fields to North & South and I haven't seen nor heard a deer yet.

Oh well, the weather sure is ripe for the deer, hopefully it picks up here real soon.

Hunting a different woods today. Weather feels nice. Just had a 6pt at 80 yards in the field.
