Plenty to be thankful for. 1) Clean miss. 2) Bow didn't come apart and injure you. 3) you found the damage prior to attempting to use it again. 4) you aren't a piece of shit and actually did your due diligence in looking for the deer.

Sorry you missed though. That sucks.

Well it was a clean miss. Here's what I found after looking at the bow. It hit way harder than I thought. Maybe my brother will get on him but I think I'm done. Might take the kids one last time before the snow gets here this week but not expecting alot.

Would not shoot it unless it was perfect. But I would work it back into place just to see how it works out.

It was worth getting out of the warm bed and burning the fuel. Scouting trip quickly turned into a hunt. I got about 5 yards away from the truck, left it running and the door wide open 🤣. Closest they got was 75 yards. Had a doe at 45 and I was thinking she was hot and one would come up the hill. Never did. Seen 4 bucks and 6 does inside 100 yards. The 2 biggest bucks fought like November while the 2 smaller ones racked everything they could. Badass morning

Being how badass it was, I would've shot one of those small 6 points if given the chance. Just to complete the story. Hell, I almost shot this fawn doe at 45 yards just to do it. Lol

I ve been watching the herds i could hunt for some time debating if i should give it a go. My standards would be limpin or gimpin or something with nubs. I dont want to kill a prego nanny. Just for fun and how pretty it is and i wont waste the meat im putting my mickeys by the woodstove for this weekends last hunt unless some bad winds start.
